KALKI BIOGRAPHY PROJECT PRESENTS a dramatized reading of three scenes of Flame of the Forest, a play written by Gowri Ramnarayan based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s SIVAKAMIYIN SAPATHAM.
The play raises questions about war and violence against the backdrop of a historical war between the Pallava and the Chalukya kings in 7th century south India. It also examines the role of art in the power games of state politics.

This reading was presented as part of a series of events leading up to the publication of a translation of Sunda’s (MRM Sundaram) epic biography of Kalki Krishnamurthy.
